October 2009
Greetings...
Can you feel it? Autumn is in the air! This is an excellent time of year
for long walks, hayrides, and all the wonderful foods that Fall offers.
Speaking of foods... you will soon be seeing a new seasonal menu at
Peterson's featuring fabulous new fish dishes, a selection of sides,
and a mouth-watering appetizer called Pomme Frites. These
tasty wonders are prepared by frying potatoes in rich duck fat with
truffle salt and truffle butter. They are so good, you must try them!
Some of my personal Autumn favorites are the Chocolate
Custard, Pot de Creme, and Chef Jeff's Banana Bread Pudding.
However, I know some of us need to watch our diets, so if
you have a special dietary concern, please ask you server
and we will always do our best to accommodate your requests.
It goes without saying that Fall is also synonymous with
football, so next Monday night, watch the game at
Peterson's and enjoy our new Tapas Menu in the bar.
Hope to see you soon,
Joe Peterson
Owner
Are you wondering, "what are tapas?" Tapas are finger foods
or heavy appetizers. The term originated in Spain where tapas
are served daily in every bar and café. Tapas are so much a part
of the Spanish culture and social scene that the Spanish people
invented the verb 'tapear' which means to go and eat tapas!
So please come and enjoy a piece of American iconic
culture with Football on Monday nights in the bar at
Peterson's, while enjoying our new Tapas Menu.
The Hamilton County Convention and Visitors Bureau
recognized the extraordinary works of Peterson's
Restaurant and Staff by awarding them a STAR in the
county's Hospitality and Tourism Recognition Program.
Some of the members of the Peterson's Staff
are shown here proudly accepting their award
at the September 2009 Recognition Ceremony.
This year, enjoy more time with your family
and friends by giving Peterson's Gift Cards
and hosting holiday gatherings with us.
For any gift card purchases totaling $250
or more, you will receive an extra 10% in
gift cards... as our way of saying thanks!
For your convenience, Peterson's Gift Cards
will be available for online purchase via
our website in the near future.
The October issue of Indianapolis Monthly Magazine
has rated Peterson's Gourmet Kobe Burger as one
of the city's top 25 best burgers!
We're proud of the magazine's review which said,
"...the showpiece of this huge knife-and-forker,
made with American-style Wagyu Beef, comes from
coddled cows in Idaho and is seasoned with Kosher
Salt before being pan-seared and placed
on freshly baked ciabatta."
Don't just take their word for it,
try this signature burger for yourself
in the Peterson's Bar!
